Tense, slender, harmonious, and pleasantly wild, with aromas of berries, dark spices, violets, and underbrush.
The “Cuna” by Federico Staderini is a pure Pinot Nero, representing one of the most interesting Italian interpretations of the famous Burgundy grape. Fresh and elegant, a product of the splendid wild territory of Casentino, it is a wine that surprises for its fidelity to the varietal characteristics of the grape and for that touch of character and personality that is typically territorial. It is a label that seals the perfect combination of two lands with great tradition in the field of reds, like Toscana and Burgundy.
The red “Cuna” is born from the Pinot Nero vineyards cultivated in the Casentino valley. The Cuna estate of Federico Staderini extends over about 4 hectares divided into many parcels, cultivated at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level. The cool climate and the significant temperature variations between day and night allow for the production of very fragrant grapes with extremely elegant aromas. In the countryside, the rules of biodynamics are followed, and even in the cellar, interventions during winemaking are kept to a minimum.necessary. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts in open wooden vats. The wine matures for 15-18 months in used barriques and is bottled without filtration.
The Pinot Nero “Cuna” is a wine that will surprise all enthusiasts of the noble French grape. Its elegance and refined freshness of aromas, combined with expressive complexity, make it a label of assured excellence. It presents a bright ruby color that is almost transparent.
