The Etna Bianco "On the Volcano" by Donnafugata is a fresh and mineral wine born on the slopes of the great Sicilian volcano, at 750 meters altitude. It is vinified in steel and aged in tank and partially in French barriques. It presents an elegant bouquet of white-fleshed fruit, citrus and flint. Donnafugata Etna Bianco “Sul Vulcano” is a pure Carricante. The vines are located on the northern slope of Etna, between Randazzo and Castiglione di Sicilia, at around 750 meters above sea level, where the lava soil is rich in minerals and the strong temperature variations favor high-quality grapes.quality. During the manual harvest, a thorough selection of the grapes is carried out in the vineyard, then placed in crates. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature between 14°C and 16°C, while aging occurs partly in steel and partly in French oak barriques and in bottle for at least 9 months before commercialization.
