"Vulkà" is a Etna Bianco with a fresh, mineral, and smooth sip, produced on volcanic soils from a blend of Carricante and Catarratto grapes. It opens with a delicate and refined aromatic profile, featuring prominent notes of white fruit, citrus, aromatic herbs, and savory-mineral hints. On the palate, it is agile and lively, supported by full freshness and a long, flowing savory-mineral trail.

The Etna Bianco “Vulkà” by Cantine Nicosia is the most direct and immediate expression of the whites from the volcano. It is made with a base of Carricante, the indigenous grape variety of the Etna area, to which Catarratto is added, making the wine fruitier and richer. The vinification in steel allows for the appreciation of the fragrant varietal character of the grapes in all their expressive purity. It is a white that reflects the mineral and marine face of the splendid terroir of Etna with citrus, floral, and fragrant fruit aromas. It is an ideal Etna Bianco to enjoy with appetizers or delicate seafood dishes.

The “Vulkà” is an Etna Bianco produced by one of the historic wineries in the Etna area. The estate of Cantine Nicosia is located on the southeastern slope of Etna, in the locality of Tre Castagni. The vineyards of Carricante and Catarratto are cultivated at an altitude ranging between 650 and 750 meters above sea level, on soils predominantly composed of volcanic sands. The very breezy climate, with strong temperature variations between day and night, is ideal for ripening the grapes of the white berry varieties.white berry with particularly elegant aromatic profiles. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are cold macerated for 24 hours. This is followed by gentle pressing and fermentation of the must at controlled temperature for about 20-25 days. Before bottling, the wine rests for several months on the fine lees in steel tanks.

“Vulkà” Etna Bianco Nicosia is a wine made primarily from Carricante, which provides freshness and vertical tension, and Catarratto, which contributes the right fruity richness. In the glass, it has a bright pale straw yellow color, evoking its young and typically sunny character. The aromatic profile expresses floral aromas, citrus fragrances, hints of Mediterranean scrub herbs, and white-fleshed fruit aromas. The sip conveys the classic sensations of wines from volcanic lands, with a pleasant saline and mineral vein, intertwining with rich and expressive fruit. It is a balanced, fresh, and Mediterranean wine, with great taste balance.
