The Franciacorta Blanc de Blancs from the Tenuta Montenisa of the Marchesi Antinori is an elegant and refined Classic Method that comes from a selection of the best grapes from the Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco vineyards of the estate in Cazzago San Martino. It is the label that symbolizes the purity and finesse of two ancient noble grape varieties, always used to create great sparkling wines. An extraordinary harmonious cuvée, which, thanks to a 24-month aging on the lees, offers floral aromas, fruity notes, and the typical scents of bread crust. It is an ideal Franciacorta to enjoy with seafood appetizers or with particularly delicate dishes.
The Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine is a Franciacorta that comes from the vineyards of the Tenuta Montenisa, purchased in 1999 by the Antinori family. The historic Tuscan wine brand thus wanted to expand its properties with a presence in one of the most important districts for the production of Classic Method. Montenisa is located in Cazzago San Martino, in the eastern area of the Franciacorta territory, and cultivates about 60 hectares divided into numerous plots located in different areas. In addition to Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, it has preserved a good heritage of Pinot Bianco vineyards, which were once very present in Franciacorta but have gradually been abandoned over the last few decades. The vineyards remain the heart of the company, and all production starts from a raw material of absolute quality. The style has remained unchanged over time with elegant and refined Franciacorta, always characterized by great freshness.
The Blanc de Blancs from Tenuta Montenisa of the Marchesi Antinori is a Franciacorta that captivates with its delicate character, balanced and satisfying sip. The choice to blend a small percentage of Pinot Bianco with Chardonnay gives the blend a particular creaminess and elegance. After the soft pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with a resting on the lees for at least 24 months. In the glass, it presents a straw yellow color, crossed by a fine perlage and continuous. The bouquet recalls scents of white flowers, citrus, fruity notes, hints of fragrant bread crust, and pastry nuances. On the palate, it is refined, with a sip of elegant fruit, leading to a finish that closes with fresh and savory sensations.
