Franciacorta Brut Saten Bosio
The Franciacorta Brut Saten by Bosio is an elegant and refined Metodo Classico, produced with pure Chardonnay and aged for 24 months on the lees. It is a perfect label for those looking for a Saten with a fresh and harmonious profile. On the nose, it is characterized by delicate floral aromas, notes of white fruit, hints of bread crust, and nuances of vanilla. The palate is creamy and balanced, with pleasantly rich fruit and intense final freshness.
The Saten by Bosio is produced in the Curte Franca estate, ten hectares of vineyard divided into various plots, in one of the most interesting areas of Franciacorta, due to the presence of a particularly cool microclimate characterized by good temperature excursions. At the end of the harvest, which usually takes place towards the end of August, the grapes undergo a soft pressing followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15 °C. The various parcels are vinified and then aged separately, and the base wines mature partly in stainless steel tanks and for 20% in barrique. After 6-7 months, the creation of the cuvée begins, seeking each year the most harmonious blend among the various available vins clairs. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle, with a period of aging on the lees of 24 months before disgorgement.
The Metodo Classico Brut Saten is a Franciacorta that seduces with its great expressive finesse. The use of only Chardonnay grapes and a slightly lower pressure compared to normal Méthode Champenoise enhance the qualities of harmony and balance, making the sip particularly creamy. In the glass, it presents a bright and luminous straw yellow color, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. The olfactory profile is delicate, with aromas of white flowers, fruity notes, hints of pain brioche, and soft nuances of vanilla. On the palate, it is fresh and saline, with elegant fruit that extends towards a finish of good taste persistence.
