Gewurztraminer Colterenzio 2025
The Gewurztraminer from Colterenzio is a white wine with a fresh and aromatic profile, aged only in steel. Nutmeg, exotic fruit, and mountain herbs envelop a sensual and delicate bouquet. The sip is fresh and inviting, with a savory finish and pleasant roundness
The Gewürztraminer signed by the Colterenzio winery is a very aromatic Alto Adige white wine, characterized by a sip where the key to the drink is freshness. A bottle strongly varietal, in which the typical scents of rose and lychee of Gewürztraminer are found, fragrant and enveloping from the very first moment the glass approaches the nose. Colterenzio, an excellent cooperative reality in the regional wine scene, confirms, even with this label, as a brand synonymous with guarantee and reliability.
This Gewürztraminer is born from the pure use of the same white grape varieties, a variety widely cultivated throughout Alto Adige. Colterenzio cultivates the vines in vineyards located at an altitude of about 400 - 460 meters above sea level, which sink their roots into a mainly morainic subsoil, where a good quantity of clay and gravel is also found. The yields between the rows are kept low, and never exceed 58 hectoliters per hectare. The grapes, once harvested, undergo for a few hours a cryomaceration, and then ferment alcoholically in steel, at controlled temperature. Always in steel, the wine then remains for a few months to refine, until the moment when the bottling procedures begin.
The white Gewürztraminer made by Colterenzio presents itself to the eye with a color reminiscent of gold. The olfactory spectrum that envelops the nose highlights clean, clear, and orderly notes, mainly focused on flowers and exotic fruit, to which a slight spicy background is added. On the palate, it is light-bodied, satisfying, with a decidedly aromatic sip. A stylish and elegant label, very versatile in the kitchen, where it pairs excellently with fish and shellfish preparations.
