Lacryma Christi Rosso by Feudi di San Gregorio is a red wine of great freshness and smoothness, made from a blend of Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes grown on the slopes of Vesuvius. It is aged in steel, allowing it to express fresh and fragrant notes of small juicy red fruit, freshly picked berries, and light mineral hints. It flows on the palate with lightness and pleasantness, highlighting a sweet tannin

The Lacryma Christi Rosso by Feudi San Gregorio originates in Campania in the municipality of Sorbo Serpico near Avellino. The winery adopts the philosophy that producing wine is like giving life to a work of art: the same emotions and creative journey applied to a work of art are also found in the stages of wine production. Every small detail is taken care of by experts: the labels are the result of the genius of designer Massimo Vignelli, who has managed to translate the soul of the winery and the tradition of these places into colors, designs, and mosaics.

The Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes of the Lacryma Christi Rosso by Feudi San Gregorio are cultivated on the slopes of one of the largest volcanoes in Europe; the name of the wine comes from the legend that it was the tears shed by Jesus that gave rise to the vine in this place. The soil is obviously composed of volcanic rocks, but also of minerals and potassium, a composition that makes it very fertile and productive. The climate is temperate with mild winters thanks to the air currents.coming from the sea and hot, dry summers. Once the harvest is completed, fermentation and maceration occur in steel tanks for about 3 weeks. Before bottling, it ages for 4-5 months in steel tanks.

The Lacryma Christi Rosso by Feudi San Gregorio presents itself in the glass as a bright ruby red; on the nose, one can sense aromas of freshly picked ripe red fruit. The palate encounters a fresh and soft structure with the presence of tannins; in the finish, pleasant persistent notes of berries. It is recommended to pair with grilled red meat and first courses with rich sauces. An excellent product to enjoy in the company of lifelong friends, but also for formal occasions to taste a wine that encapsulates all the power and history of a territory suited for the production of interesting reds that can also accompany winter evenings of meditation in front of the fireplace.
