The 'Lindenburg' by Alois Lageder is a Lagrein that is rich and intense, aged for 15 months in barrique. A red for aging, with a vigorous sip and rich tannins, featuring a bouquet of ripe fruit, leather, and dark chocolate. A great Lagrein!

The Lagrein “Lindenburg” from the Alois Lageder winery is a synthesis of city, rock, and water. It comes from the homonymous estate, Maso Lindenburg, where Lagrein vines have been cultivated for over six hundred years. There is a lot of tradition in this expression signed by Lageder, and there is also a lot of territory, which tells of its different colors, shapes, and peculiarities. A territorial variability that corresponds to a wine personality that is equally multifaceted and rich in connotations, without giving up on exuberance or the density of the fruit. A method of biodynamic cultivation that respects and enhances the environment is the cornerstone of the Lageder reality, which manages, like few others, to let the land speak.

“Lindenburg” by Alois Lageder is made from 100% Lagrein grapes, sourced from vineyards located near the homonymous estate. Here the vines are over 50 years old and are still cultivated according to a pergola training system. The soils, originating from the erosive action of the Talvera river, they are deep and alluvial. The grapes are harvested and transported to the winery, where they are pressed and transformed into must. The alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously through the action of the indigenous yeasts naturally present on the skins of the grapes and takes place in steel containers. The maturation phase, on the other hand, occurs in barriques, lasting a total of about 15 months.

Alois Lageder Lagrein “Lindenburg” presents a ruby red color, identifiable in the color of a ripe cherry. It also recalls the aroma, included in a bouquet of ripe red fruit, chocolate, leather, and spices. On the palate, the body shows itself to be powerful and well-structured, outlined by a tannic texture excellently managed and integrated with freshness traits and a slightly almondy finish. “Lindenburg” is Alto Adige in a sip.
