The "Tor di Lupo" Riserva from Cantina Andriano is a Lagrein of beautiful intensity and complexity that comes from sandy and clayey soils at 300 meters altitude in the Val d'Adige. Vinified in red in steel, it rests in barrique for 12 months and is enriched with evolved and mature olfactory notes of red fruits in spirits, balsamic tones of resin, and dark chocolate. At the first sip, it surprises with great freshness followed by alcoholic warmth, dense tannins, and long taste persistence

The Lagrein Riserva “Tor di Lupo” is a red wine that easily makes its presence known. Thanks to its character, which is evident on the palate with a clean sip where freshness and tannins are in harmony, while the nose is dominated by aromas of well-ripened fruit. The Kellerei Cantina Andriano, the oldest wine producer in Alto Adige, founded in 1893, confirms its perfect knowledge of the territory, cultivating Lagrein vines in the most suitable plots, ideal for creating a product of great quality.

The “Tor di Lupo” is a Lagrein Riserva endowed with structure and territorial expressiveness. The vines of this variety grow in vineyards located about 300 meters above sea level, with roots sinking into a terroir mainly composed of sand and clay. During the harvest, the bunches are carefully selected, and after destemming, the grapes are pressed, resulting in a must that ferments in stainless steel containers, where pump-overs are frequent. The wine is then aged, resting for 12 months in barrique, until the bottling operations begin.

This Lagrein Riserva “Tor di Lupo” presents itself visually with a typically ruby color, crossed by veins more tending towards purple at the rim. On the nose, there are decisive notes of very ripe red fruit, enhanced by hints of spices and resins, preluding to an olfactory finish from which a nuance of bitter chocolate also emerges. On the palate, it is full-bodied, and immediately announces itself with a pleasant freshness, with a tannic sip that continues into a finish with excellent persistence. A bottle with which Andriano achieves excellent scores on the main Italian and international guides, confirming the value of its labels.
