The Lagrein from Tramin is a medium-bodied, clear, and juicy red wine, matured for 6 months in oak barrels. It is characterized by typical hints of berries and violet, enriched by delicate spicy notes.

The Lagrein from the Tramin winery is a red wine with a young and fruity character, aiming to enhance especially the pleasant aromatic fragrance of this indigenous grape variety from Alto Adige. It is a very successful interpretation that, thanks to a delicate vinification, lightens the structure of the grape, making the sip agile and smooth. The brief aging in barrel allows to soften the youthful roughness of the grape and a certain tendency towards somewhat wild notes. A choice that highlights especially the wealth of ripe red fruit that characterizes the bouquet.

The red Lagrein from the Tramin winery comes from a selection of grapes from vineyards cultivated in the hilly areas of Ora, Egna, and Termeno at an altitude between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. The soils are quite heterogeneous, with a calcareous matrix and the presence of clays, gravels, and sands of ancient morainic origin. The sunny and well-ventilated exposures allow for good ripening of this indigenous red grape. This red is increasingly gaining popularity among wine enthusiasts for its fruity, rich, and immediately expressive taste. The version from Tramin accurately interprets the character of the grape, returning a straightforward, sincere and authentic face.

The Lagrein wine is part of the collection of Classic Single Varietals from the Tramin winery, which aims to promote and enhance the different grape varieties historically cultivated in Alto Adige, in the most authentic and pure varietal expression, just like Lagrein. Far from versions that weigh it down with too much wood or load it with concentration and power, making it less elegant, the Tramin winery has chosen the path of simplicity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel and concrete tanks with skin maceration. The wine matures for 6 months in large oak barrels and in concrete tanks before being bottled. It presents itself with a ruby red color with slight violet hues. On the nose, it recalls small dark berries, hints of underbrush, floral notes of violet, and soft spices. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a fruity sip, dense but soft tannins, and a persistent and balanced finish.  The classic bottle that finishes in an instant.
