The Lambrusco di Sorbara "Sant'Agata" is a sparkling red wine of beautiful freshness and vitality, refermented according to the Charmat method. The foam is rosé, fine and persistent, accompanied by very pleasant floral and fruity notes, with a dry and fragrant taste

Paltrinieri's Lambrusco di Sorbara "Sant'Agata" is the result of a long tradition and expertise in caring for soils and vines. Grandfather Achille began in 1926 with a small business that became more and more structured over time. He was succeeded by his son, who carried on the family business with his wife for about 40 years. In 1998 Alberto and his wife Barbara took over the reins of the winery, betting first on the production of Lambrusco in purity, cultivating the beauty of 17 hectares fully planted with vines, located between the Secchia and Panaro rivers, bordering the province of Modena.

The pure Lambrusco di Sorbara grapes in Paltrinieri's Lambrusco di Sorbara "Sant'Agata" grow on soils composed mainly of sand and silt, mostly medium-textured so that the acid and saline components are enhanced in the final product. The climate is predominantly continental, with cold winters often affected by snowfall and hot, sultry summers. Viticultural practices are exercised with total respect for the ecosystem surrounding the vineyards: limited and ad hoc interventions, use of natural substances and organic compost for plant care, for wines with extraordinary evolutionary capacity. The harvest is manual, and in the cellar, there is maceration in contact with the skins for about 2 days; it re-ferments in autoclaves.

The colour of Paltrinieri's Lambrusco di Sorbara "Sant'Agata" is a soft ruby red with bright rosy highlights and a dedicated, fine mousse with good persistence. The nose has hints of violets and berries, while in the mouth, it is heady, fresh and delicate, with a special overall balance for a curious and inviting drink. In pairing, it is recommended with seasonal vegetable dishes, medium-aged mixed meats and smoked fish appetizers; also interesting with fresh cow's milk cheeses. Perfect for lunches with lifelong friends to enjoy the goodness of the Modenese land.
