LAMBRUSCO DI SORBARA 'LECLISSE' PALTRINIERI DESCRIPTION

Paltrinieri's Lambrusco di Sorbara "Leclisse" Magnum is a traditional Modenese product, born in the heart of Sorbara. Grandfather Achille opened his business in 1926, tending a small plot of land, intended for the production of wine for family use. From generation to generation, the passion and tradition for conscious wine production has been handed down until Alberto: having completed his studies, in 1998 he decided to take over the reins of the family business. With the help of his wife Barbara, he proposed a quantum leap in production techniques and decided to focus on the production of pure Sorbara, cultivating today about 17 hectares fully planted with vines.

The vineyards of Paltrinieri's Lambrusco di Sorbara "Leclisse" Magnum are located in the locality of "Cristo" and occupy most of the vineyard land. The area is suited for the production of wines of excellent quality, thanks to the presence of the Secchi and Panaro rivers, which make the soil rich in mineral salts and make it thriving and welcoming for vines: in fact, the soil is mainly composed of silt, sand and the presence of organic substances. Human intervention in the vineyard is reduced to the bare minimum, abolishing the use of synthetic chemicals in favor of natural integrated pest management and use of organic compost. Harvesting takes place around mid-September and is conducted manually; in the cellar, the flower must undergoes alcoholic fermentation in steel and subsequent refermentation in the bottle for 3 months using the Martinotti Method.

The color of Paltrinieri's Lambrusco di Sorbara "Leclisse" Magnum is a soft pink tending to powdery with a fine and pleasantly persistent perlage. The nose releases aromas of white flowers such as jasmine and hawthorn, hints of red apple, wild strawberry and spices such as vanilla; in the mouth it is inviting, drinkable and delicate with a fresh, clean finish that beckons drinking cup after cup. In pairing, it is recommended with oyster dishes, raw fish tartare; also excellent with aged traditional Emilian cured meats, tortellini in broth and overcooked meats. Perfect for the table at get-togethers with friends, to enjoy an artisanal product with genuine and authentic flavors.
