The sparkling wine "Piria" Lambrusco di Sorbara comes from a winery that has maintained a family face and still works today with artisanal care. Paltrinieri produces wines in the Modena countryside with the varieties that have always been cultivated in the area. The grapes come from a single plot, called Vigneto al Cristo, located in the most suitable area of Sorbara, between the Secchia and Panaro rivers, on rather rich and fresh soils. The Lambrusco is an ancient grape variety, most likely originating from a process of domestication of wild vines done in remote times and today constitutes the backbone of Emilia's viticulture. A generous, fruity grape, with great freshness and non-aggressive tannins, it is particularly suitable for the production of straightforward and immediate wines. The Paltrinieri winery has been able to perfectly interpret the spirit of this variety, with labels that express great authenticity.
The Lambrusco "Piria" Paltrinieri is a wine that comes from the tradition of the area of producing lively wines to be enjoyed young. The grapes are vinified in red with a brief maceration on the skins. Once pressed, it is transferred to an autoclave for refermentation according to the Martinotti or Charmat Method, which allows all the varietal aromas of the grapes to be preserved intact. In the glass, it presents itself with a bright ruby red color, crossed by a lively perlage of good persistence. On the nose, it recalls the scents of violet, aromas of small red berry fruits, and hints of underbrush. The sip is agile, smooth and crisp, which extends harmoniously towards a savory finish with good persistence. The Lambrusco in its most typical and pleasant expression.
