Lugana "La Musina" from the Sartori winery is a white wine from Veneto that is perfect for accompanying light first courses or fish dishes. It is made from 100% Trebbiano di Lugana grapes and aged partly in steel and concrete tanks and partly in wood. Sartori offers an excellent interpretation of one of the most interesting whites from northern Italy. Made with pure Trebbiano di Lugana, the wine expresses a savory and fruity profile, with a rich, harmonious, and elegant taste. It is a white of great pleasure, ideal to enjoy with seafood pasta dishes, baked or grilled fish.
The White Lugana “La Musina” by Sartori comes from the vineyards of the estate cultivated in the area of the denomination, located on the south-west shore of Lake Garda. The mild climate, influenced by the large basin of Benaco and the calcareous-clay soils of ancient morainic origin, have constituted for centuries the ideal habitat for the Trebbiano di Lugana grape, a local biotype of Trebbiano di Soave and Verdicchio from the Marche. Once the harvest is completed, the best bunches undergo a gentle pressing, in order to extract only the must.flower. The fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine matures for several months in cement and steel vats, and after a brief passage in wood, it is bottled.
“La Musina” is an interesting version of Lugana, made by the Veronese winery Sartori, which has always specialized in giving voice to the best characteristics of the Veronese area. The wine is born in a territory highly suited for the production of white wines with great personality, a pure expression of the wonderful Garda terroir. In the glass, it presents a light straw-yellow color with slight greenish reflections. The bouquet captivates with delicate floral aromas, of orange blossom and hawthorn flowers, fragrant notes of citrus peel, peach, green apple, yellow melon, and subtle vegetal nuances of aromatic and medicinal herbs. On the palate, it has a good structure, with an intense and juicy fruit, crossed by a pleasant savory vein that leads to a finish of lively expressive freshness.
