Organic and biodynamicThe “Maramia” is a rich and intense red wine based on Sangiovese, produced only in the best vintages according to the principles of biodynamics, with aging in small and medium barrels for 16 months. It has aromas of berries, Mediterranean scrub, cherries and underbrush. The taste is soft, full-bodied and enveloping, with velvety tannins.
The “Maramia” from the Biodynamic Estate Mara is a pure Sangiovese from Romagna, produced only in the best vintages. The estate is managed according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, with maximum attention to the environment and the quality of the grapes. The wine perfectly reflects the company's philosophy, with a straightforward, authentic, and direct profile, highlighting the characteristics of the best Sangiovese and the territory, without mediations or compromises.
The red “Maramia” is born in the vineyards of the Biodynamic Estate Mara, located in San Clemente, in the inland area south of Rimini. A 7-hectare plot managed with the utmost respect for the surrounding nature, with the sole intent of producing healthy, high-quality grapes to be transformed into wine with minimal intervention in the cellar, fully respecting the raw material provided by the vineyard. The soils are clay-limestone based, with the presence of silt, and are located in the pre-Apennine hilly area at an altitude of 200-260 meters above sea level, with east andsoutheast. The Sangiovese vines are planted in Guyot with a planting density of 5500 vines per hectare. The manual harvest takes place at the beginning of October, and the grapes are then selected in the cellar on sorting tables. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in conical oak vats, with indigenous yeasts and without temperature control. The wine matures on the fine lees for 16 months in French oak barriques and tonneaux and then ages for a few months in the bottle.
The wine “Maramia” is produced by the Estate in a simple and natural way, with careful vineyard management, rigorous work in the cellar, and bottling without filtration, to preserve the integrity of the wine and the maximum expression of the territory. In the glass, it has a rather intense ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with aromas of cherry, small red berry fruits, aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub, notes of underbrush, and spicy nuances. On the palate, it is harmonious and enveloping, with a sip of rich and expressive fruit, soft tannins, and a pleasantlyfresh.
