Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Valentini is a wine with a great personality, aged for 12 months in barrels and for 48 in bottle. A rich and complex bouquet of ripe fruits, roots and wild spices and a solemn, armonic, long and deep taste for a red wine for ageing in bottle that expressea the soul of Abruzzo.

The Montepulciano by Valentini is an extraordinary and multifaceted red, in the Olympus of Italian wines. Few names like Valentini can excite enthusiasts, thanks to multifaceted and complex expressions that can challenge time by renewing themselves. The winery, now in the hands of Francesco Paolo, is located in Loreto Aprutino with a production divided between Trebbiano and Montepulciano, along with the presence of olive trees from which an amazing oil is obtained. Traditional or artisanal wines, which do not follow trends and currents, but have always been synonymous with excellence. Simply immense.

The red Montepulciano is produced from pure grapes of the same name, grown in the area of Loreto Aprutino. It is produced only in years deemed excellent and the vineyards that produce it are cultivated without the aid of any chemical or synthetic products. After manual harvesting and a double selection of the grapes, destemming and crushing occur, followed by fermentation through the sole intervention of indigenous yeasts. Aging takes place for 12 months in large oak and chestnut barrels, followed by a long rest of about 4 years in the bottle, so that the wine is released on the market only when it is actually ready.

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo fills the glass with its impenetrable ruby red dress. Extremely broad nose, almost impossible to define with a limited number of descriptors: coffee, plum, chocolate, humus, wet leaves. All in one glass, and with the gradual and calm expressive modality of the champions. The sip is no less, filling the mouth thanks to its rich and sculpted matter, driven by an overwhelming freshness. The finish is very long and hard to forget. Immense bottle, that sits at the table of the greatest wines in the world.
