The Morgon from the Domaine des Crais winery is a red wine made from Gamay produced in Beaujolais. Full and enveloping on the palate, intensely fruity and juicy, it expresses notes of berries, cherry, and plum on the nose, softened by aromas of rose and violet and hints of sweet spices, which accompany the sip on the finish, long and persistent. Ideal paired with a platter of French cured meats and cheeses!

The Morgon Domaine des Crais is a wine produced in the Beaujolais region of France, from a winery now in its fourth generation. The Tissier family has been working to restore the identity wines of Beaujolais since the 1940s, and today Benjamin, together with his partner Andrea, manages the winery. Their passion for their land has driven them to dedicate themselves to organic and biodynamic farming, as well as implementing symbiotic operations with the forests surrounding the vineyards like those of Morgon, an 'appellation' at the heart of Beaujolais.

The Morgon Domaine des Crais Morgon stands out for its traditional approach to winemaking. The Gamay grapes, typical of the Beaujolais region, are carefully hand-selected during the harvest period. The vines are planted in soils rich in granite rock, a factor that helps the development of intense tannins. After harvesting, the grapes ferment with indigenous yeasts in cement or stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness, aromaticity, and balance the typical structure of Morgon's Gamay.

The Morgon from Domaine des Crais exhibits typical characteristics of the cru, responsible for some of the most structured Beaujolais. It has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, fruity aromas of berries like raspberry and blackberry emerge, accompanied by floral hints of violet that open the scene to very delicate spicy notes, a typical trait of Gamay in these areas. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and juicy, with an elegant structure, a enveloping sip and well-present tannins that are pleasantly integrated. Its freshness and persistent finish make it a versatile wine that can be enjoyed young or even with a few years of age.
