Moscato d'Asti Luigi Einaudi 2025
Luigi Einaudi's Moscato d'Asti has an intense and persistent bouquet with notes of ripe yellow fruit and delicate aromatic herbs. It is light and easy to drink, with a lovely freshness. A perfect example of a “wine of joy”
Luigi Einaudi's Moscato d'Asti is sunny and fragrant. By nature, it is a wine that many associate with fruit juice, so low is its alcohol content and so engaging is its fruity character. This Moscato d'Asti could be described in many ways: juicy, fresh, thirst-quenching, delicious. It is a dessert wine, but also a wine for an afternoon break, spent in the convivial company of a friend with whom you can enjoy a chat. The Poderi Luigi Einaudi winery itself has given this nectar the name 'wine of serenity'. This alone is enough to convey the carefree and joyful nature of this fragrant wine.
Luigi Einaudi Moscato d'Asti is made from grapes that are not grown on the estate, but carefully selected from vineyards located at an altitude of about 280 metres in the municipality of Castiglion Tinella, in the province of Cuneo. The vines, facing south-west, grow on marly and calcareous soil. The grapes are transported to the winery and gently pressed whole using a membrane press. Vinification consists of a slow fermentation phase in autoclaves followed by a light second fermentation. Once bottled, it rests for about two months in the bottle before being marketed.
The white and sweet Moscato d'Asti has a light and delicate straw yellow colour. Its aroma is clearly recognisable, striking with its intensity of white fruit and flowers, sage and yellow peach. The taste is energetic, with an intense, juicy flavour; it maintains excellent finesse, marked by freshness and emphasised by delicate bubbles. There is no ideal time to taste this nectar: from morning to evening, any occasion is a good opportunity to enjoy a glass.
