Nebbiolo 'Nubié' Lo Zoccolaio 2023 (Packaging)
The Nebbiolo “Nubié” from Lo Zoccolaio is a Nebbiolo from the Barolo area, full-bodied and intense but also fresh and easy to drink. The grape variety gives great tannicity and fragrance, enhanced by aging in only steel. Aromas of flowers and red fruits emerge from the glass, along with sweet spices and pleasant balsamic hints. The balanced and intense sip makes it perfect for both flavorful first courses and fine second courses based on prized game cuts.
The Piedmont estate Lo Zoccolaio presents the Langhe Nebbiolo ‘Nubié’, an interpretation of the grape variety and the territory that impresses with its balance and freshness. Founded back in 1890 within the municipality of Barolo, home to some of the best red wines in the world, the Lo Zoccolaio farmhouse takes its name from the locality of the same name located in Bricco di Barolo, where the estate exclusively produces red wines from international grape varieties and, above all, from native varieties. In particular, the production philosophy is based on careful processing of the grapes, carried out in respect of tradition while also using the most modern technologies in the sector.
The Langhe Nebbiolo ‘Nubié’ from the Lo Zoccolaio farmhouse is 100% Nebbiolo from vineyards that enjoy excellent southwest exposure and the unique microclimate of the Langhe, fresh and breezy. The harvest is carried out entirely by hand in crates and the grapes are then vinified in red through alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with 10-15 days of maceration on the skins. Maturation also takes place in steel for at least 6 months before bottling and further resting in glass before the final release to the market.
the bottling and further resting in glass before the final release to the market.
Visually, the ‘Nubié’ Langhe Nebbiolo shows a bright ruby red color with a garnet edge. The aromatic profile is seductive, composed of scents of red currant, blackberry, rose, violet, and resin that meet hints of licorice and spicy notes. On the palate, it is very balanced, fresh yet warm, round and rather tannic, with a long and fragrant finish. Thanks to its organoleptic characteristics, the Nebbiolo ‘Nubié’ is an excellent accompaniment to platters of cured meats and aged cheeses or to main courses with meat sauces.
