The Extra Virgin Oil "Traditional from Sicily" is produced by the renowned winery Planeta and is obtained through the pressing of a blend of native Sicilian cultivars: Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla, and Cerasuola. The color is bright dense green and on the nose reveals intense aromas that reveal the essence of the land from which it comes, such as citrus peel, almonds, herbaceous notes, and wild fennel. On the palate, it is tasty, with initial sensations of tomato, chicory, and artichoke that fade into a finish of sustained spiciness. It pairs easily with any meal, great with soups, fresh cheeses, and fish.
