The Pet-Nat 'Misunderstanding' from the La Piotta winery is a sparkling organic wine, refermented in the bottle according to the Ancestral Method. Pale straw yellow in appearance, it opens on the nose with delicate aromas of white-fleshed fruit, citrus peel, and slight spicy nuances of white pepper, which accompany a fresh and easy-to-drink sip, characterized by a pleasant aftertaste of bitter almond. The ideal wine to drink chilled as an aperitif, or paired with delicate fish and shellfish dishes

The wine-growing reality of Oltrepò Pavese La Piotta presents the Pet-Nat 'Misunderstanding', a bottle-fermented wine with a refreshing and carefree drinkability. At the helm of the La Piotta winery, located within the municipality of Montalto Pavese, is the Padroggi family, who have been dedicated to viticulture in Oltrepò Pavese for generations, a triangular area of the province of Pavia nestled on the border with Piemonte and Emilia-Romagna. Due to its high viticultural vocation, the area is well suited for the cultivation of numerous varieties, both red and white, suitable for producing wines of different styles and types.

The La Piotta 'Misunderstanding' Pet-Nat originates from a single white grape variety cultivated according to the principles of certified organic farming on soils rich in limestone and marls. The carefully selected grapes are softly pressed and the resulting must undergoes alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature. The refermentation takes place in the bottle in spring according to the Ancestral Method, with the sole addition of yeasts, and the wine is finally marketed without undergoing any disgorgement.

The 'Misunderstanding' Pet-Nat from the family-run estate La Piotta has a slightly hazy straw yellow color due to the presence of suspended particles. The nose unfolds with fragrant aromas of white-fleshed fruit and wildflowers that blend with subtle hints of bakery and spices like white pepper. On the palate, it is fresh, clear, and easy to drink, supported in the finish by a pleasant aftertaste of bitter almond. This label represents the ideal choice as a lively drink for summer aperitifs or outdoor picnics.
