Pinot Grigio Jermann 2025
The Pinot Grigio by Jermann is an authentic and unique expression of the Collio Friulano, vinified and aged in steel. Varietal and fresh with citrus memories, finishing with aromatic herbs and mineral notes. The taste is soft, in close balance with the savory-mineral duo and with a pleasantly fruity finish.
The Pinot Grigio from Jermann is a faithful portrait of the Collio Friulano land. Exceptionally suited for white wine production, this area is enriched by a very particular minerality. The presence of Ponca, a specific stratification of marls and sandstones with a high tendency to disintegration, is abundant in the soils. This allows for the creation of soils with granularity and, above all, capable of leaving an indelible mark on the grapes that originate from it. Similarly, the character of the Jermann winery is easily recognizable, both for the finesse and for the expressiveness of its wines. And it is especially the latter that emerges strongly in the Jermann labels, where the grape is allowed to manifest itself in all its naturalness and characteristics.
Jermann Pinot Grigio is obtained from the homonymous grape variety, in purity. They come from vineyards with southwest and northeast exposure, and with soils rich in Ponca. After the harvest, which is carried out strictly by hand, the bunches are transported to the winery where they are crushed and transformed into must. The alcoholic fermentation takes place inside stainless steel containers, as does the aging. This phase lasts about 6 months and aims to preserve all the expressive purity of the fruit, without affecting or covering it with the use of wood.
The white Pinot Grigio from Jermann presents an intense straw yellow color, enriched by antique pink reflections. Its aroma intensely plays on fruity and citrus tones, enlivened by a distinctive mineral note. Also confirmed on the palate, this very particular salinity betrays the territory of origin, which also tells of its freshness and complexity. The body is full and sculpted with great finesse; a composed yet long persistence closes the sip and undeniably defines the charm of this white from Pinot Grigio.
