The soils are composed of marls of sandstones and limestone of Eocene origin, the famous Friulian "ponca", rich in precious mineral substances. The climate is particularly cool and characterized by significant temperature excursions, allowing for a maturation of grapes with very intense aromas. The harvest takes place during the month of September, and the best bunches are sent for fermentation in French oak barriques from Allier. The aging always takes place in barriques for about a year, followed by a bottle refinement of a few months.
