"Phenix" by Geschickt is a Pinot Grigio with a bright copper orange color, due to the long maceration. The grapes indeed rest on the skins for a period of 30 days, before spontaneous fermentation by indigenous yeasts. Without any addition of sulfur dioxide, the wine ages in oak barrels for 12 months.
