Pinot Nero 'Patricia' Girlan 2024
The Pinot Noir "Patricia" is an elegant, soft, and fruity red wine, aged in barrels and barriques for 15 months. It is a refined expression of Alto Adige, sensual and rich in fruit, animated by delicate hints of spices and vanilla and by velvety tannins.
The Pinot Noir “Patricia” from Girlan is a clear example of wine with its own character, with particularly marked characteristics, an intense personality, and a harmonious, soft, and deeply fruity body. The story of Pinot Noir "Patricia” begins in Mazzon, above Egna, in an area of about 10 hectares and in one of the best Italian territories for the production of Pinot Noir: south-west facing slopes kissed by the afternoon sun and a soil with a high presence of clay and limestone.
Girlan is an extraordinary example of a social winery: there are 230 member suppliers who bring to life one of the most interesting wineries in South Tyrol, made up of wine-growing villages cultivated like gardens, with impeccable care and great passion. The Pinot Noir "Patricia" is made, for example, from grapes mostly coming from the vineyards of Patricia Elzenbaum, located on the slopes of Mazzon, above Egna.
The Pinot Noir "Patricia" offers fresh sensations of small red fruits that envelop the nose with softness and sweetness: the pleasant hints of vanilla come from resting for 15 months in small and large barrels. The sip is elegant and velvety, fruity but also full and structured... a clean and genuine expression of the winemaking of South Tyrol.
