The Pinot Noir from San Michele Appiano is a red wine with beautiful progression and refined aromas. On the nose, enticing notes of blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry are perceived. On the palate, it is generous, with fruity but also spicy returns, fresh and with fine tannins.

The Pinot Nero from the San Michele Appiano winery is a delicate and elegant red wine produced in Appiano, in the province of Bolzano, in Trentino Alto Adige. This wine is made from pure Pinot Nero grapes, also known here as Blauburgunder, coming from vineyards with south, southeast, and southwest exposure located on the hills of Appiano and Caldaro at an altitude between 400 and 550 meters. The vines, which have an average age of about 15 years, are trained using the traditional guyot method on morainic origin soils characterized by gravelly-limestone soils. The winery is a cooperative reality, founded in 1907, which has managed to carve out a leading role within the Italian wine industry year after year thanks to a precise and clear orientation towards high-quality wine production.

The Pinot Nero of San Michele Appiano is produced with carefully selected and hand-picked grapes between the beginning and the middle of September. The bunches, brought to the winery, are destemmed and gently pressed.to carry out alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel containers at controlled temperature with frequent pump-overs and a maceration on the skins of about 15 days. Subsequently, the wine is racked with pressing, after which it remains in aging for at least 4-6 months in French oak barriques before being bottled and finally ready for sale.

The San Michele Appiano Pinot Nero presents itself with a beautiful light garnet red color. On the nose, intense aromas of red fruit and berries appear, including cherry, raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry, floral notes of red flowers, and spicy hints of vanilla and other sweet spices. On the palate, it is compact, fruity, and spicy together, characterized by a pleasant freshness and a fine, well-integrated tannin. This wine from the San Michele Appiano winery is a satisfying and very balanced red that is easy to drink thanks to its finesse and juiciness, which offers continuous returns of fruity and underbrush notes.
