The Pinot Noir “Terrazze” is a light, fresh, and fruity red wine characterized by the typical elegance of the grape variety, vinified and aged only in steel. On the nose, hints of small fruits, red flowers, and underbrush emerge, inviting a slender, pleasant, and refreshing sip, with delicate tannins in the finish.

The Lombard red Pinot Noir "Terrazze" is a product that tells the beauty of the relationship between grape variety and territory. Pinot Noir, a variety that is always difficult to cultivate, finds in the Oltrepò Pavese area one of its chosen terroirs in Italy, managing to express itself with a remarkable varietal power. It is therefore with pleasure that we find the typical sensations of the grape on the nose, where the elegant hints of fruit – enhanced by spicy puffs – present themselves with grace. On the palate, the tannin is finely worked, allowing for a clear and flavorful sip, from which the skill of the Mazzolino winery emerges.

The "Terrazze" is a pure Pinot Noir, a grape that within the terroir of Oltrepò Pavese has always been the most representative grape of the winemaking development path of this area. Mazzolino cultivates it in hillside vineyards, located at an altitude between 180 and 220 meters above sea level and characterized by a subsoil mainly composed of clay and silt. The bunches, once they arrive in the facilities designated for winemaking, are destemmed, and the berries proceed to the pressing phase. The must obtained ferments in stainless steel containers, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. Always in steel, the wine then remains to mature for a few months, until it is deemed ready to be bottled.

The Mazzolino-branded Pinot Noir "Terrazze" presents itself to the visual examination with a ruby red color, light and not very concentrated, endowed with a pleasant brightness. Fruit and flowers constitute the main structure of the olfactory examination, which is enriched with light touches of spices and sensations that recall the underbrush vegetation. On the palate, it is light-bodied, characterized by a fresh sip, which enters the palate with authenticity and immediacy, highlighting a slight saltiness. A typical red of the Oltrepò Pavese territory, where Pinot Noir represents the reference grape variety.
