Late Bottle Vintage Quinta de La Rosa is Porto Traditional, which represents a beautiful example of this sought-after type, much loved by fortified wine enthusiasts. It is produced in an estate managed according to principles of environmental sustainability. The vineyards are located on the banks of the Douro River and are cultivated with indigenous red grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão, and Tinta Roriz. The grapes of excellent quality are harvested perfectly ripe. The fermentation phase, with skin maceration, is stopped towards the end by adding the must with Brandy. The wine retains residual sugars and raises its alcohol content. The wine matures for a period that varies depending on the vintage from 4 to 6 years in large oak barrels. It is bottled without being subjected to filtration to maintain its natural integrity.
