The Primitivo "La Signora" is a broad, full-bodied, and structured wine, born from old vines and matured for 12 months in oak barrels. A wide bouquet of berries, red flowers, Mediterranean scrub, and sweet spices accompany a full, sunny, and deep sip, with great balance.

The Primitivo "La Signora" from the Morella winery is a wine that, as suggested by the label with the Latin expression "sic et simpliciter", anticipates the characteristics that are part of this expression of Primitivo. "Thus and simply" means a sincere interpretation of a territory and a grape variety that, together, create a harmony capable of unleashing aromas and fragrances of absolute quality and making the fortunate drinker fall in love.

"La Signora" Primitivo from Morella sees its clusters grow in vineyards formed by ancient bush vines of about 55 years of age. A new cru, which gives its name to the wine and is located halfway between the sea and Manduria, on red soil and worked with traditional and biodynamic methods. Once the harvest has started and the fruits have been transferred to the winery, fermentation is awaited inside temperature-controlled tanks at around 28°C, and manual punch downs are promptly carried out. After a gentle pressing with a manual press, we proceed maturation inside Allier barriques (France) for 12 months, followed by a final refinement in bottle for an additional 24 months.

The Primitivo from the Morella winery "La Signora" colors the glass with a deep and intense ruby red, a typical color of the grape variety. Cherry and blueberry mark the nose where the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, such as lavender and bay leaf, make the breath full of fragrant elegance. Balsamic notes and aromas of black pepper and clove close the bouquet and invite to drink. A delicate yet firm tannin opens the soft and velvety sip, followed by a consistent flavor of ripe red fruit that recalls the olfactory tasting. Long and full, this Primitivo has strong shoulders to withstand pairings with dishes of great structure and the sublime ability to transport mind and heart to that wonderful place we call Puglia.
