The "Since 1913" produced by Torrevento is a pure Primitivo, obtained from grapes from vineyards coming from two different areas of Puglia. Some vineyards are located in the Gioia del Colle area, a zone with good temperature variations, characterized by limestone soils; others in Manduria, famous for its red clay-rich lands and a warmer and sunnier climate. The union of two different terroirs allows for a more complex wine that combines fragrance and freshness with power and concentration. The vines are cultivated according to the traditional Apulian alberello system, with a density of 6000 plants per hectare. The harvest generally takes place in the first weeks of September, with a yield of about 70 quintals/ha. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with skin maceration. The wine matures in steel tanks for 10 months, then in barriques for 6 months, and finishes aging with a few months in the bottle.
