PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE SUPERIORE BRUT 'BOSCO DI GICA' ADAMI DESCRIPTION

Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut 'Bosco di Gica' takes its name from the place where it was born: a magnificent forest in Colbertaldo di Vidor, a place that saw the birth of the first vineyards of the famous Adami winery. Arranged like an amphitheatre, the vines are a real jewel that nature gives us, where in this splendid context the Glera and Chardonnay (to a lesser extent) grow and are able, once worked, to give us an elegant wine with a decisive aromatic richness thanks to the composition of the clay and limestone soil.

Adami's 'Bosco di Gica' Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut sees its vineyards take root at an altitude of between 180 and 300 metres above sea level in an area where winters are cold and summers warm but not sultry. The adventure of this Prosecco takes off towards the second half of September when the harvest begins. Once the grapes are brought to the cellar, they are softly pressed with static decantation of the must followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and final refermentation in autoclaves following the Martinotti Method (Charmat).

Adami's Prosecco di Valdobbiadene "Bosco di Gica" Superiore Brut appears in the glass with an intense straw yellow colour and thick, creamy mousse. Taken to the nose one is decisively enraptured by the intense fruity notes, especially apple and yellow peach supported also by light and pleasant floral aromas such as acacia and elderflower. On the palate, the aromas are consistent with the olfactory bouquet that echoes the fruity and floral notes. Decisive, fresh and with a mineral edge that does not tire but invites a second taste, this Prosecco is perfect if enjoyed within the year following the harvest. Nevertheless, in the course of time if you lose the sweeter notes, if you are able to be patient you will discover pleasant aromatic surprises. Excellent with light and delicate first courses, Bosco di Gica is, considering its price, the ideal bottle to surprise a friend who is not too familiar with sparkling wines.
