Adami
Adami is one of the most important wineries in the classic area of Prosecco Superiore. For over 90 years, it has cultivated vineyards and offers a range of excellent sparkling wines, faithful to the most ancient traditions of the Marca Trevigiana. In this hilly area of Veneto, in fact, as early as the 1600s, quality white wines were produced, not only appreciated in Venice but also exported to many European countries. The origins of the company date back to 1920, when Abele Adami purchased a vineyard of particular value, which, due to its characteristics, he decided to keep separate from other lands owned and to vinify separately to enhance the quality of the grapes. Thus, the label with the indication of the Giardino vineyard was born, which represents one of the historic crus of the territory, still recognized today as one of the best overall.
The hilly territory of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its high landscape value and for preserving a productive fabric linked to the ancient customs of viticulture.locale. The steep slopes, often terraced, allow only laborious manual work and harvests, which require many hours of presence in the vineyard. The soils are predominantly calcareous, with calcareous-clay marls and sands, resting on a bedrock that is almost outcropping. They are poor and very draining lands, suitable for quality viticulture. The area is influenced by the presence of the Prealps, which make the climate cool and continental, very breezy and characterized by significant temperature fluctuations between day and night.
Since the 1980s, the helm of the winery has been in the hands of Armando and Franco Adami, who passionately carry on the ancient family savoir-faire. The estate has its main nucleus in Colbertaldo di Vidor and extends overall over an area of 50 hectares, divided into various parcels. The vineyards are cultivated with the white grape variety Glera, historically present in these lands for centuries and at the base of the sparkling tradition. Its floral and fruity aromas, its high acidity, and its moderatealcohol content, make it perfect for creating excellent sparkling bases. In addition to the historic labels, the winery has been able to enhance the best plots with a series of bottles dedicated to single vineyards or to the Rive, parcels cultivated in particularly steep areas.
