The “Prior” by Bortolomiol represents the first Prosecco Brut in the history of Valdobbiadene, produced since 1960. Fresh and expressive aromas of fruit, white flowers, citrus, and aromatic herbs enliven a lively, dry, balanced sip with good sapidity.

The Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore “Prior” by Bortolomiol is born in the heart of Valdobbiadene, the homeland of white wines known all over the world. The Bortolomiol family has historical roots in the winemaking industry. In 1949, Giuliano Bortolomiol founded the winery together with his brothers Labano and Guglielmo. Graduated from the Enological School of Conegliano, Giuliano decided to set up the work with modern processing and winemaking techniques, proving to be a thinker, an innovator, and a visionary. In 1960, the first Prosecco Brut was released on the market, later becoming a symbol of the business; a few years later, together with eleven other producers, he founded the Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco wine from Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a fundamental institution for obtaining the DOC in 1969. Today, the business is completely female-led with Giuliano's granddaughters, who look to tradition and the future.

The vineyards of the Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore “Prior” by Bortolomiol are located on the Hills of Valdobbiadene; human intervention is conscious and responsible, respecting the ecosystem surrounding the vineyards. These are located at an altitude ranging from 70 to 450 meters above sea level; the mountain ranges of Monte Cesen and Col Visentin protect the rows from the cold winds coming from the north, so that only moderate winds arrive, which are useful for perfect grape growth. The temperature excursions between day and night are also important. The grapes are harvested manually between September 15 and 30; in the winery, the grapes are gently pressed. The alcoholic fermentation takes place with selected yeasts in steel, and the sparkling process occurs over 25 to 30 days. It ages for 2 months in the bottle.

Visually, the Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore “Prior” by Bortolomiol is a straw yellow with bright reflections, while the perlage is fine and persistent. The aromas recall white-fleshed fruits and white flowers like jasmine, combined with hints of aromatic herbs and citrus; on the palate, it is fresh, lively, and vibrant with a savory finish that balances the structure and invites glass after glass. It pairs perfectly with dishes based on stewed fish, smoked salmon, and first courses seasoned with seasonal vegetables.season and shellfish. A product to be consumed on the occasion of aperitifs with work colleagues to celebrate important milestones
