The Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso by Volpe Pasini is the most typical red of the Friulian territory, an authentic expression of the ancient traditions of the Colli Orientali area. It is produced with the homonymous indigenous red grape variety in purity, which has always been cultivated in this corner of Friuli on the border with Slovenia. Particularly suited to the climate and soils of the area, it expresses itself with intense and rich notes, characterized by an exuberant and slightly spicy profile. Its aromas of dark berries and its shady face, reminiscent of the scents of the underbrush, make it an ideal table companion to accompany game dishes or rich-flavored red meats.

The area is protected to the north by the Julian Alps and open to the south to the influences of the gentle breezes from the Adriatic Sea. The vocated soils, consisting of the classic ponca, a sedimentation of limestones and sandstonesof ancient marine origin, have proven to be very suitable also for red grape varieties, which express themselves with particular elegance and freshness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. It matures for a few months in steel vats before being bottled for commercialization.
