RENOSU ROSSO DETTORI DESCRIPTION

Dettori's Renosu Rosso is a wine capable of telling an interesting story, much like every bottle produced by Dettori, which expresses a different nuance of the territory. They give off sensations that are never simple. The only strict rules the winery pursues are following the natural rhythms in the vineyard and caring for the microorganisms with which it interacts.

A wine that is never domesticated, the winery does not use clarification, filtration, sulfur dioxide or wooden barrels of any kind. After destemming, the must is sent to concrete tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place spontanously only through the indigenous yeasts present on the grape skins and in the cellar's environments. The maceration and the fermentation process last from 3 to 10 days. Strict manual selection of the grapes takes place in the winery, and the winery itself declares that the grapes not chosen for the production of the wines deemed to reflect the purest territorial essence, are destined for the production of Renosu.

It is difficult, however, to define this wine, because it has unique character qualities, extremely pleasant. To the eye it shows off a dense ruby red color. The nose expresses typical Sardinian sensations with references to ripe myrtle and Mediterranean scrub. The intertwining of spicy and plum, hazelnut, licorice and citrus scents, is complex, and it's enriched by the persistent note of oregano and herbs. The palate is soft with an enveloping and substantial alcohol content, endowed with good minerality and firm persistence. A truly irresistible wine!

When to open
To enjoy an artisanal wine at its best, we recommend you to let it 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can easily cellar it for 2-3 years
