The Riesling Grand Cru Vorbourg is a round and refined white wine that shows the purest and artisanal side of Alsace. The fruit of a vinification with indigenous yeasts and an aging of 11 months in old wooden barrels, shows an aromatic profile of faithful varietal imprint, in which layered grainy stone notes, candied citrus, white flower bouquets and deep mineral memories . On the palate it shows an enveloping freshness, an intensely juicy body and an elegant and personality style.

The Riesling Grand Cru Vorbourg is one of the purest and deepest expressions bottled by Pierre Frick, a true Alsatian master. When we talk about pioneers or legends in the wine world, the name Pierre Frick is undoubtedly one of the first that comes to mind. Endowed with an extraordinary sensitivity and foresight, Pierre immediately understands that to bottle vital and complex liquids, it is necessary to respect the life inside and around the vineyard. Hence the decision first in 1970 to convert all the vineyards to organic farming and subsequently in 1981 entirely to biodynamics. Needless to say, the results are simply moving, capable like few others of capturing a complex terroir like that of Alsace. Chapeau Pierre!

This Riesling is obtained from pure grapes of the same name, coming entirely from the Grand Cru Vorbourg, located near the castle of Rouffach, characterized by calcareous-clay soils, with superficial layers of silt. If the vineyards, as already mentioned, are cultivated strictly following the principles of biodynamics, in the cellar the same approach continues with spontaneous alcoholic fermentations and aging of the liquid for 11 months in ancient oak barrels of over 80 years.

The Grand Cru Vorbourg Riesling fills the glass with its pale straw color, typical of the grape variety. A magnetic liquid that captivates from the first sniff, with saline bursts and infused lime zest. Then there’s the crunchy golden apple and a field of white flowers. The sip is a true masterpiece, class and depth due to a truly refined saline texture and an invigorating freshness. Territory and sensitivity, fused into a sparkling core. Diadem.
