Riesling Spatlese Grosse Lage "Faß 7" from the Peter Lauer winery is a fresh, fragrant white wine from one of the most famous areas of Germany. Carefully selected grapes are used for the production of this label and during fermentation in stainless steel tanks only indigenous yeasts are used. The colour is an intense straw yellow with golden hues, while the aromas are reminiscent of exotic fruits, citrus fruits and white flowers. The taste is aromatic, fresh, mineral, light and harmonious.

The Riesling Spätlese Grosse Lage “Faß 7” by Peter Lauer is a late harvest of great charm, offering a particularly satisfying tasting experience. The rich ripeness of the grapes releases particularly dense, soft, and enveloping aromas that caress the palate with seductive elegance. Hints of candied fruit and tropical fruit characterize a smooth sip, well balanced by the typical freshness of Riesling. The indication “Faß 7” denotes the origin from a specific barrel, used each year for the production of the same wine, according to the oldest traditions of the winery. It is a wine of considerable structure, requiring at least a couple of years of bottle aging to reach full expressive maturity.

The “Faß 7” Grosse Lage Riesling Spätlese is a specialty of the famous winery in the Saar region, Peter Lauer. The grapes are the fruit of the Ayler Kupp vineyard, which is located on a steep and rugged slope beautifully exposed to the south. The vines are an age of 50-60 years and are planted on the classic slate soils of the Saar area. The late harvest takes place in the second half of October, in the phase of full and complete overripening, when the bunches have reached a golden yellow color. After soft pressing, the dense and rich must is spontaneously fermented using only indigenous yeasts. The wine ages for several months before being bottled and put on sale.

The Spätlese Grosse Lage “Faß 7” by Peter Lauer is an aromatically very rich Riesling characterized by a significant residual sugar. It is a wine to be enjoyed with a platter of flavorful medium-aged cheeses or paired with a fruit tart or with peach, citrus, or apricot jam. In the glass, it presents a light yellow color with brilliant golden reflections. Broad and rich, it seduces with aromas of acacia flowers, notes of candied citrus peel, mandarin, aromas of yellow peach, apricot, passion fruit, lychee, soft tropical fruit sensations and orange honey. The sip is broad and complex, sweet and persistent, with a harmonious finish characterized by a pleasant freshness.
