Rosato Sette 2022
ArtisanalThe Rosato by Sette, a Monferrato winery, is a fresh, jaunty rosé made from local and international red grapes. It is a selection of a few bottles, made from grapes from young vines. The nose has aromas of berries, red and black, as well as hints of citrus and spice. Pleasantly 'funky', it is fresh and drinkable, really pleasant and juicy
The Rosato from the small Piedmontese winery Sette is a label with a stimulating and engaging drinkability created following a genuine agronomic and enological approach. Within its vineyards located in the territory of Nizza Monferrato, a UNESCO heritage site, the Sette estate cultivates the traditional varieties Grignolino, Moscato Bianco, and especially Barbera, a grape variety that probably reaches its highest qualitative expression in this area. Not surprisingly, it seems that Monferrato represents the cradle of this ancient grape, as suggested by a document dated the 17th century, now preserved at the municipality of Nizza Monferrato, which mentions Barbera for the first time by its current name. Furthermore, in the 1800s, several scholars referred to the grape variety as “Vitis vinifera montisferratensis”. The label depicts a mullet, a reference to the “spiny” character of this wine.
Sette Rosato is made from a single black grape variety cultivated according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. The plants are approximately 15 years old and are rooted in complex soils low in organic matter. Following manual harvesting, the bunches undergo direct pressing, without maceration, followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation carried out by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks.

The nose presents sensations of blackberry, orange peel, and plum, surrounded by hints of white pepper. Savory and refreshing on the palate, it has a rustic, drinkable, and juicy progression.
