Artisanal
Perfect to drink every dayThe Red "by Gino" from Fattoria San Lorenzo is a wine of great embrace, coming from 35-year-old vines grown up to 300 meters in altitude. Fresh, with vegetal and fruity aromas, with notes of tobacco and spices, soft, clean, and immediate
The Rosso “di Gino”, produced by Fattoria San Lorenzo, is a splendid interpretation of the classic wine from the Marche region made with the two typical red grape varieties of the area: Montepulciano, which provides structure and fruity richness, and Sangiovese, which gives freshness and elegance. The choice of vinification and aging without the use of wood allows for the preservation and highlighting of the varietal characteristics of grapes of excellent quality, coming from particularly suited parcels of the estate. A confirmation of the quality of one of the most esteemed wineries in the Marche.
“di Gino” is a Rosso from Fattoria San Lorenzo, a winery based in Montecarotto, which manages the vineyards with meticulous care, following the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture. Founded only in the mid-1990s, it actually draws on the experience of many generations of winemakers. Thanks to a deep knowledge of the territory, it is able to produce great wines that have retained a classic and elegant style, far from passing trends. The cuvée is the result of vineyards of Montepulciano and Sangiovese that are about 35 years old and are cultivated at an altitude of 250-300 meters above sea level, with a sunny exposure facing south, which favors excellent ripening. At the end of the harvest, the best bunches are subjected to spontaneous fermentation with only indigenous yeasts, in stainless steel tanks at an initial temperature of 35 °C, which is then reduced to 25 °C, with classic maceration on the skins for a couple of weeks. Before being bottled, the wine ages for 12 months on the fine lees in cement tanks.
Rosso “di Gino” expresses very well the style of Fattoria San Lorenzo, always known for producing honest and direct wines, made without enological mediations, with the sole aim of highlighting the quality of the grapes and the character of a great terroir. Of a beautiful dark ruby red color with bright reflections, it expresses a remarkable aromatic richness on the nose, with notes of ripe fruit, cherry, wild blackberry, currant, hints of underbrush, humus, blonde tobacco, and medicinal herbs. Smooth and pleasantly fragrant, it captivates with a harmonious sip, rich, balanced, and with well-integrated tannins to a body of good structure. The finish is pleasantly fresh and persistent.
