Perfect to drink every dayThe Rosso di Valtellina by Nino Negri is a fresh, simple, and young red wine, perfect for pairing with traditional Valtellina dishes. On the nose, it has aromas of berries, mountain flowers, and light spicy and licorice notes. On the palate, it impresses with its simplicity and its lively and balanced profile.
The Rosso di Valtellina from the Nino Negri winery is a young, fresh, and elegant red wine produced in Chiuro, in the province of Sondrio, in Valtellina. This label is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes sourced from vineyards located on steep terraces, typical of the Valtellina region, facing south at various altitudes ranging from 350 to 650 meters. The vines, which vary in age, are trained using the traditional espalier method with guyot pruning on soils predominantly composed of sandy loam. The winery is a historic establishment in the area, founded in 1897 by Nino Negri, originally from the small town of Aprica, which has grown over the years by incorporating other small productions until becoming part of the Gruppo Italiano Vini cooperative, transforming it into an important center for the production of quality wines.
The Rosso di Valtellina by Nino Negri is made from carefully selected grapes, hand-harvested between the end of September and early October. The clusters, brought to the winery, are gently destemmed and crushed in making the drinking experience very pleasant.
