Rosso Piceno BIO by Velenosi is a fresh and fruity red produced in the heart of the Marche hills. A bottle with a young and light style, versatile in pairings, ideal for accompanying everyday meals with a touch of personality. A label that fully expresses the all-Marchigiano character of Montepulciano, skillfully vinified by the Velenosi family in Ascoli Piceno, in a winery where artisanal tradition and cutting-edge technology are daily employed with commitment and creativity.
This red from Velenosi is obtained mainly from Montepulciano grapes (70%), with a small percentage of Sangiovese (30%), grown in clay soils located about 300 meters above sea level in the municipality of Castel di Lama. The harvest is done entirely by hand in the second decade of October. The bunches, once they arrive at the winery, are placed in small crates and refrigerated, in order to best preserve the typical aromatic characteristics of these local grape varieties. The vinification is carried out according to the traditional system, in 200 hectoliter steel tanks, with a maceration on the skins of about 20 days, during which there is an evolution of the intense structure, which gives the wine great drinkability and freshness.
