Chateau Calon's Saint-Emilion "St Georges" is a Bordeaux that embodies the elegance and complexity of the Bordeaux 'rive droite'. The grapes are harvested on the soils of Saint Georges, a unique area characterized by clay and limestone soils, which impart great structure and a distinctive mineral character. The nose develops a fragrant bouquet of ripe red fruits, accompanied by persistent notes of vanilla and tobacco, signs of evolutionary potential. The sip is one of the typical Merlots of the area: intense, concentrated but also velvety and juicy, perfect in combination with great meats
