Sancerre Domaine Le Piton 2023

The Sancerre from Domaine Le Piton is a vibrant and complex Sauvignon Blanc produced in the Loire region, in Sancerre, to be precise. It starts from 30-year-old vines, planted on flint and clay-limestone soils, leading to a refinement of 9 months on fine lees: the result is a straightforward, direct, floral and very fruity wine with ripe lemons, jasmine flowers and smoky hints on the finish. A wine that is quite rare to pair with seafood, goat cheese preparations, but also with spicy dishes from Eastern cuisine!
