Sangiovese di Romagna Chiara Condello 2023

The Sangiovese from Romagna by Chiara Condello is a pleasant red that stands out for smoothness and liveliness. We are in Fiumana di Predappio, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, where the young Chiara has been managing almost 5 hectares, all cultivated with Sangiovese following the principles of organic farming since 2015. The aim is to produce wines that reflect both her personality and the identity of the territory. For this reason, all agronomic practices are carried out by hand, in the fight against pests only low doses of copper and sulfur are used, and in the winery, craftsmanship reigns supreme. Pure and authentic wines that "limit" themselves to gathering and transmitting what the land offers, far from unnecessary sophistication.

Chiara Condello Romagna DOC is a pure Sangiovese grown organically on poor soils, of calcareous-clay origin and rich in tuff-sandy rocks. The grapes are hand-harvested, the alcoholic fermentation is carried out by indigenous yeasts only, and the skin maceration lasts for 15-25 days. Once this phase of the winemaking process is completed, the mass ages for a few months in Slavonian oak barrels and steel tanks, before bottling, which takes place without filtration.

To the eye, the Sangiovese from Romagna Chiara Condello reveals an intense ruby red color. On the nose, fruity and winey aromas dominate, with pleasant notes of berries and flowers, while on the palate it shows excellent balance between soft roundness and lively freshness, in a dynamic and smooth tasting. Chiara Condello's is a Romagna Sangiovese capable of enhancing the varietal and territorial characteristics, never appearing heavy or tiring.
