Giorgi's Sangue di Giuda is a sweet, easy-drinking red wine with a light, creamy effervescence that prolongs its pleasantness on the palate. Its intriguing bouquet features fragrant notes of fresh fruit and vinous sensations that make it appealing to the nose. Lively and easy to drink, it is light and harmonious on the palate

Sangue di Giuda from the Giorgi winery is a pleasantly sweet and sparkling wine produced mainly from Croatina and Barbera grapes, with a small percentage of Vespolina, Uva Rara and Pinot Noir. The most suitable area for the production of this label is the eastern part of the Oltrepò Pavese territory which, thanks to the clayey-calcareous characteristics of the soil, is best suited to the organoleptic qualities desired in this wine with its particular characteristics. The Giorgi winery, which has always been family-run, guarantees perhaps one of the best expressions of Sangue di Giuda del Pavese.

The winemaking process begins after the harvest when the grapes are transported to the winery where a careful manual selection of the most suitable bunches is carried out. The selected bunches are crushed and destemmed, and the must obtained is fermented in contact with the skins for a short period of time. The must is then transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel autoclaves where the second fermentation takes place and the desired sugar level is determined. Sangue di Giuda is then left to mature for several months in pressure-controlled steel containers before being bottled.

Giorgi's Oltrepò Pavese Sangue di Giuda has a bright purple-red colour with a beautiful creamy, thick and persistent foam. The nose reveals intense vinous and fragrant notes followed by hints of wild strawberries, ripe red fruit, blueberry jam and black cherries. This is followed by hints of wilted flowers and spicy notes, giving this wine good complexity. On the palate, it is sweet, medium-bodied, pleasantly easy to drink, with good intensity and persistence. The Giorgi winery thus offers us an excellent accompaniment for an after-dinner drink with friends.
