The Sauternes "Castelnau" from Chateau Suduiraut is a sweet wine with a unique and distinctive identity. Intense varietal aromas enliven the olfactory sensation, with notes of candied fruit, honey, caramel, sweet spices, and a citrus nuance. On the palate, it is warm, enveloping, and round, with good persistence and hints of light minerality.

autumn followed by sunny days create the ideal conditions for the development of noble rot. This desired rot is due to the fungus botrytis cinerea which dehydrates the grapes, synthesizing peculiar aromas that are the basis of the uniqueness of botrytized wines. The harvest is done by hand with multiple passes to exclusively collect the bunches where the rot has developed optimally, excluding those affected by decay. The wine then ages for about 15 months in barriques, 25% of which are new, and is finally bottled with a high residual sugar content.

The Sauternes ‘Castelnau de Suduiraut’ Chateau Suduiraut is a brilliant golden yellow in color. On the nose, intense varietal notes of candied fruit, honey, caramel, and sweet spices are perceived, combined with a pleasant citrus nuance. Warm and enveloping on the palate, with pronounced sweetness supported by an excellent savory-mineral vein in a persistent finish.
