Tenuta San Leonardo's Sauvignon "Vette" is a fresh and fragrant Trentino white wine with rich and intense aromas. The nose recognizes sage, green pepper and white peach: exuberant aromatic notes that invite a crisp, dry sip with good freshness and minerality

Tenuta San Leonardo's Sauvignon 'Vette' is a white wine from Trentino that stands out for its brilliant freshness and distinct mineral tone. This historic winery has become one of Italy's leading interpreters of international grape varieties such as Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot among the black grapes, and Riesling Renano and Sauvignon Blanc among the white grapes. The name 'Vette' is a reference to the imposing Alpine peaks that rise above the vineyards.
Tenuta San Leonardo Sauvignon 'Vette' is an expression of pure Sauvignon Blanc, a variety cultivated under a certified organic system in the cool climate of Trentino, characterised by significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. In the winery, the grapes are first subjected to a 12-hour cold pre-fermentation maceration, followed by gentle pressing and alcoholic fermentation of the must in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 20 days. In the same type of wine vats, the subsequent 5-month maturation phase on the fine lees that precedes bottling and final marketing also takes place.
Tenuta San Leonardo's 'Vette' Sauvignon has a straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. The aromatic descriptors on the nose are characteristic and intense, recalling sage, white peach, lychee, green pepper and boxwood. Dry and full-bodied on the palate, with lovely freshness and minerality and an agile and elegant progression. A delightful Sauvignon Blanc from Trentino in its youth but also capable of holding its own a few years of further ageing in the cellar that will lead to greater softness and further expressive complexity.
