The Classic Method Sparkling Rosé Brut “Cuvée dei Frati” by Ca’ dei Frati is born from the desire to express the potential of the red grape varieties that make up the cuvée. It encapsulates in itself pleasantness and elegance, fruit and complexity. These goals are achievable thanks to the great care dedicated to vinification and the vineyard, which is a fundamental imperative for the Ca’ dei Frati winery. The grapes from different vineyards follow a distinct path from the others, so that each terroir is maximally enhanced in its expression and each variety is preserved in its unique identity.
The Brut Rosé “Cuvée dei Frati” by Ca’ dei Frati is made from Groppello, Sangiovese, Marzemino, and Barbera grapes, coming from the La Tür vineyard in Desenzano del Garda. The soil is predominantly calcareous, with clayey, silty, and also sandy traces. After the harvest, alcoholic fermentation takes place with a brief maceration on the skins. Once obtained the base wine, the re-fermentation phase in the bottle begins with a rest on the lees of about 24 months. At the end of this period, the disgorgement operation is carried out and the Sparkling wine rests in the bottle for another 4 months.
The Classic Method “Cuvée dei Frati” attracts with its antique pink color made brilliant by a fine and lively perlage. Its bouquet is distinctly fruity and floral, with hints of small red fruits and rose petals.
