The Brut Classic Method Rosé Sparkling Wine from the Murgo winery is a delicate rosé sparkling wine based on Nerello Mascalese, patiently aged for 2-3 months in the bottle on the lees before disgorgement. Fresh, fragrant, with good structure, and characterized by a fine and persistent perlage, on the palate it is fruity and pleasantly mineral on the finish, while on the nose the notes of berries and cherry are accompanied by soft hints of hazelnut and crusty bread, due to the long aging on the lees. To be enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with fish and shellfish!

The Spumante Rosé Metodo Classico Brut from the Sicilian winery Murgo is a fragrant and mineral label that celebrates the island's ability to produce high-quality Metodo Classico. The origins of the Murgo estate date back to 1860, when Senator Luigi Gravina gifted the Scamacca family a farm consisting of 30 hectares of vineyards located on the eastern slope of Etna, precisely in the municipality of Santa Venerina. Even today, the winery is run by the Scamacca family, who are the protagonists of a wide and varied production based on local varieties, with Nerello Mascalese first and foremost.

The Metodo Classico Murgo Spumante Brut Rosé is made from a single black grape variety grown in soils composed of volcanic sands. In addition to the pedological component, the grapes benefit from an altitude of 500 meters above sea level and limited yields per hectare. The harvest is carried out by hand in crates before the full ripening of the berries, in order to maintain high acidity.Following the destemming operation, there is a brief maceration of the grapes in pneumatic presses and then a gentle pressing. The must obtained is then cold decanted in special insulated tanks and subsequently started to alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14 °C for about 20 days. The subsequent refermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, and after disgorgement, the wine is finally dosed Brut.

The Murgo Metodo Classico Rosé Brut is of an ancient pink color of good intensity, with fine and continuous bubbles. The nose unfolds with delicate hints of raspberries and cherries, associated with more complex notes of hazelnut and bread crust. Fresh and refined is the entry on the palate, pleasantly marked by the long savory-mineral trail that accompanies the fruity and floral finish.
