The Sator by Cianfagna is a Tintilia that is full-bodied and intense, aged exclusively in steel for 24 months. The bouquet is rich and presents notes of wild blackberry and sour cherry, while the sip is warm and elegant, endowed with a fine tannic structure.

The Tintilia Sator from the Molisana winery Cianfagna is a red wine with a typically territorial face. It is produced with an ancient indigenous grape variety Molisano, the Tintilia, which was at risk of disappearing and has only been recovered in recent decades thanks to the stubborn and tenacious work of some local producers. It is the emblematic grape of Molise, a true flag of the territory, which is finally experiencing a moment of good success internationally as well. This wine is made only in steel, which preserves and enhances the fruity aromas typical of the variety, allowing one to know and appreciate all its pleasant expressive nuances.

The Sator is a pure Tintilia produced in a small family-run estate, which still works with passion and artisanal spirit, aiming to enhance and spread the knowledge of typical products from the territory. The Cianfagna family has been cultivating the lands of the Molisana hills since the mid-nineteenth century and still today carries on the ancient traditions. The vineyards are located at about 500 meters above sea level in the countryside of the territory.municipality of Acquaviva Collecroce, about thirty kilometers from the sea. The cool climate of the hinterland is always mitigated by sea breezes and allows for excellent ripening of red grape varieties, also thanks to the significant temperature excursions and predominantly clayey soils. In the countryside, only sulfur and copper are used, with the utmost respect for the land and the surrounding environment. The winery is managed by trying to intervene as little as possible in the winemaking process, with the intent to produce genuine, healthy wines with an authentic taste.

The Tintilia Sator wine from Cianfagna is produced with a soft pressing of the grapes and subsequent fermentation in steel on the skins. The wine matures 24 months in steel and completes aging with another 6 months in the bottle. In the glass, it has a rather dark ruby red color. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of wild blackberry, ripe sour cherry, dark berry fruit, delicate spicy nuances, and shady hints of underbrush. On the palate, it has a good structure, is warm and enveloping, with a tannic texture still prominent.rich, juicy aromas and a beautifully long tasting finish.
